We've had Augie for a week now. She's already getting bigger! It gets insane in here during the day between the puppy, the toddler, and sir snorts a lot. I got a little overwhelmed today for a bit but I put everyone (including myself) on a five minute time out in our respective rooms.Things ran much smoother after that. These rainy days are killer. No walk for Augie and no running time for Riley = two very hyper young ones. I have my "what were we thinking" moments, but it'll all be worth it. Riley and the rest of us will have a great companion for many years to come.

My Anual Post...
Well... One year later. I'm still working on Riley's quilt. It is a bit farther than in this picture. It is all basted together just waiting for the long process of quilting and binding. Perhaps this time next year I can post the finished product ;). I've been keeping myself busy with other projects. I took up knit and crochet and LOVE it. In the last few days I've also dusted off my art supplies. I didn't realize how much I missed it. I'm a bit rusty, but I'm having fun.
I saw a cool project online using watercolors and masking fluid. Doesn't Steven make an uber cool subject?

The finished product.

Today I decided to pay homage to my favorite old cowboy boots. I ran out of pencil (charcole) before I was close to finishing and my sharpener has run away from me. Guess I'll be making a trip to the store in the morning.

The Kitchen So Far
With Tyler on leave this week we decided to get started on taking down the wallpaper in this house. It was pealing really bad in the kitchen. We thought the pealing might mean it would be easier to take down. We were wrong. Not only was the paper tough to remove, but we found MOLD on one small wall. Yuck! Luckily it was only between the ratty old paper and hideous blue paint. Not in the wall. Tyler and I went to battle armed with Bleach and scrub brushes and were able to remove it. As of last night the wall paper is gone and so is the blue paint. And it only took three coats of primer! Now all we have left is to paint. It was slow going since we only worked while Riley was sleeping, but the finish line is so close. I can't wait to have my kitchen back to normal.

Evansville Children's Museum
We also go to go to Evansville's Children's Museum. It was so much fun! Everywhere we went there were things Riley could really get her hands on and play with. Her very favorite was the rice pit.
